Though I write steamy fiction, I don't usually venture into fiction that is considered erotica. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Eden Baylee's Spring into Summer. The sample hooked me. I needed to know what happened next between Claire and Stephen, a handsome, distinguished, older man. Once I started reading the book later in the day, I didn't put it down until I'd finished the final story.Eden introduces us to four very different women. Each woman is fascinating and alluring in her own way. We are invested in the lives of these women and the love and relationships they experience.
"A Season for Everything" is a deeply emotional tale of a relationship between Claire and Stephen that is brief, passionate, and meaningful. Heat I expected from the story. I was honestly surprised by how deeply emotional this story is, and how invested I became in the characters. When Claire's heart broke, so did mine.
The heat level of "Summer Solstice" could best be described as a raging, four-alarm fire. We meet Ava who explores her every fantasy in new and unexpected ways.
My favorite story was "Unlocking the Mystery." This was an unexpected tale of how a woman rediscovers love through a box filled with love letters written between Caroline Kent, the previous owner of her newly purchased home, and Shane Murphy, a man living in Ireland. The letters span Caroline and Shane's 50-year long-distance love affair and range from sweet to incredibly sensual. As Evelyn, the new home owner, makes her way through the box of letters she also slowly discovers that they unlock the key to her heart.
Discovering Spring into Summer was a happy surprise. I am now a fan of Eden Baylee.

Eden Baylee once again opens the door wide, exposing the intimate lives of her characters. Her work is populated with the brave, the curious and the sexually adventuresome. It says much about a work that invades your dreams in that moment of twilight between sleep and consciousness; it says more when you wish you hadn't awakened quite yet; you're pining for a few moments more in Eden's world. Her writing is elegant, her stories thoughtful, the sensual whispers of her characters rooted in the real. My favorite of the four stories the epistolary "Unlocking the Mystery". Don't hesitate add this book and her first, "Fall Into Winter" atop your stack of books to read.
This is the third book of Eden Baylee's that I've read and for me the best. Comprised of four novellas it is pure delight. Her ablilty to weave love and romance, and often moving romance, with vivid, explicit, hard driving sex scenes that turn the reader on, is amazing it's a skill, a talent, I suspect few have. My two favourites were A Season For Everything, and The Lottery.
Miss Baylee is a gifted writer. She also has imagination. Her stories are original and well plotted, her characters come off the page fully developed and real no stick figures here. I really fell for Sierra, the young Chinese/Canadian girl in The Lottery.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes this genre. They won't be disappointed.
Spring Into Summer is the second book I've read by author Eden Baylee. She has such a way with words that I will read anything she writes.
Spring Into Summer is four erotic tales but I put them in a literary class all their own.
Eden Baylee's proses are so vivid I felt each heartbeat of her characters. Each tale put me in a different place and filled me with emotions I never expected. I didn't want the stories to end.
The author's talent is such that it is hard to choose which tale I enjoyed the most. I think the story that touched my heart more than any was Unlocking the Mystery. It is a story of mysterious feelings enticing Evelyn to finally take a leap of faith to meet the man she was meant to meet.
Through the talent of Eden Baylee I was there at each location; feeling the heat of Thailand, the mist of Ireland, hear the ocean waves lapping the shore, and the excitement of London.
Spring Into Summer is a book you will want to read and come away wanting more!
I'd been recommending Eden Baylee's first anthology, Fall Into Winter, ever since I read it last year, and more so lately, every time see someone rave about the books-which-shall-not-be-named. But yesterday I finished her new release, Spring Into Summer, and I'm still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor.
Before you even consider the erotica element, these books are brilliantly written. True literary fiction. (Literotica? Did I just make that up? If so, I claim ownership now and forever of this word. Send money.) The depiction of characters and settings is amazingly vivid, sometimes to the point of being painful. The language is rich and lyrical, and a true joy to read.
Spring Into Summer grabs your heart and your hormones in equal measure. Far from the cliche "girl meets boy (or girl, or vampire, or rugby team) in an implausible situation and does a bunch of smutty, sweaty, messy things" stories which unfortunately make up a lot of amateurish erotica, Eden Baylee gives us four poignant, touching, steamy, sexy - and sometimes heartbreaking - novellas. Have you ever actually cried when reading an erotic story??? I hadn't. Until I read Spring Into Summer.
The four stories in this anthology are so strong they could easily stand even if you dialed down the erotica-meter by 90%. But why would you want to, when the sexy parts are so hot, so evocative, and so well-written? Eden Baylee shows us that erotic elements should enhance an already wonderful story, taking it to a whole new level, rather than being the only relevant part of the story.
